Cedarcroft, Inc.

Cedarcroft, Inc., a home for disabled men, celebrated their 2013 two-story, 4800-square-foot addition with a Christmas Open House and a Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, December 12, 2013.

The festivities were held in the new Chapel, located beneath the institution’s new kitchen and dining facilities. The expansion allowed renovations of other areas on campus to convert more space into residential rooms.

Cedarcroft, a 501c3 nonprofit organization licensed by the State of Tennessee, is often at capacity with 118 residents, providing for the care and welfare of disabled men in the Middle Tennessee area. Cedarcroft was established in 1974 and licensed in 1989 and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, employing approximately 30 staff members.

The expansion created one centralized, commercial grade kitchen – replacing two smaller kitchens in separate buildings – and providing sufficient dining space to accommodate all residents in two seatings per meal. Cedarcroft also assists men in independent living settings on their campus, which comprises most of a city block on South College Street in Lebanon and includes several structures, among them the former Margie Anna Nursing Home, the Pavilion and the old Martha Gaston Hospital.
