The Virginia Adams Thackston Reading Room

A Ribbon Cutting ceremony was held Saturday, March 26th to officially open the new Reading Room at the Lebanon-Wilson County Library. The Virginia Adams Thackston Reading Room was made possible by a gift from the Thackston Family Foundation. Mrs. Thackston was a user and supporter of the Library for over 50 years. She enjoyed going to the Library from the time it was located upstairs in a house on College Street to its present location on Main. Mr. Ed Thackston spoke fondly of the time he checked out books with his brother, Carlton and sister, Gemma when they were young children.
Present were Thackston family and friends, Chairman of the Board Curt Baker, President & CEO Melanie Minter and Chamber representatives including Ambassadors.

Ribbon Cuttings are sponsored by Ian Isbell Agee & Johnson Realty.
