DESCRIPTION:A day of community fun to kick-off Colon Cancer Awareness Month — presented by Sherry’s Hope \nGet ready for a wave of hope to kick off March Colon Cancer Awareness Month! On March 1st\, 2025\, Sherry’s Hope will host its first-ever Wave of Hope Community Day. The event will be held from 10 AM-2 PM on the West Lawn at 623 W Main St. in Lebanon\, the same lawn where the organization’s largest fundraiser\, Sherry’s Run takes place! What can you expect at this brand-new event? \n\nFood Trucks\nMusic: Featuring live performances by Bach to Rock from 12PM-1PM!\nCustom Shirt Bus by Southeast Impressions: Come and get a custom blue shirt made to wear on National Dress in Blue Day (March 7\, 2025) for Colon Cancer Awareness Month! This will create a blue wave all throughout the community!\nLocal Vendors\nYard Games\nFree Colon Cancer Screening Kits & Sherry’s Hope swag\n\nLet’s make some waves in our community by coming together for Colon Cancer Awareness! Pick up your free colon cancer screening kit and encourage your friends and family to do the same! Already have those things covered? No problem! Join us for tasty food\, fun music\, and a family-friendly time! \nThe meaning behind this day means so much to Sherry’s Hope because Sherry Whitaker\, the namesake of the organization passed away from colon cancer in 2004 at the age of 44. Sherry’s story impacted so many around her and inspired Sherry’s Hope to be the nonprofit organization it is today. Sherry’s Hope assists families in Wilson County and surrounding communities with expenses caused by cancer. The organization is also passionate about colon health and cancer prevention. \nWhile colorectal cancer is one of the deadliest cancers\, it is also one of the most treatable when found early. The problem is that in many cases\, once you have symptoms the cancer is too far progressed. This is why Sherry’s Hope strives to create community awareness for colon cancer and partners with a local gastroenterology practice to offer free colon cancer screening kits! We hope to see you at the Wave of Hope Community Event! SUMMARY:2024 Taste of Wilson County
DESCRIPTION:Taste of Wilson County is not just about delicious food\, but also a powerful way to support our local teachers. The proceeds of the event directly benefit the Wilson County Business & Education Coalition\, a Division of The Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce. The Wilson County Business & Education Coalition uses these funds for the annual Teacher Grant Extra Mile Educator Program. These grants provide essential funding for classroom resources\, projects\, and professional development which help our local teachers continue their phenomenal work.\n\nParticipation in the Taste of Wilson County also provides funding for Chamber Education programs including Teacher Grants\, Wilson Books from Birth\, Tennessee Scholars and student scholarships. \nThe event will be held outdoors on the Wilson Bank & Trust West Lawn\, Lebanon. The event time 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Attendance for the event each year has been an average of 1\,200 people\, so this is a great opportunity to showcase your business as a sponsor\, restaurant or marketplace vendor. \n2024 Chili Cook Off Contest Click here \nThere is no fee for food vendors. Your participation as a food vendor includes a Marketplace vendor space. The Chamber will provide two tables\, two tablecloths and two chairs for each food vendor space. \n2024 Taste of Wilson County Food Vendor Agreement Click here \nAs a Marketplace vendor\, the Taste of Wilson County agrees to provide a 10X10 booth with one (1) 6-foot table\, (1) cloth and (2) chairs. The participation fee is $50.00 for members and $100.00 for non-members. Space is limited and available on a first-come basis. Reserve your spot by returning the enclosed vendor agreement to the Chamber by Wednesday\, September 13th\, 2024.
