Non-Profit Roundtable: Leading Beyond Yourself

Join us for an upcoming Non-Profit Roundtable led by Evan McBroom of Teamness for a powerful relational learning experience designed for executive leaders who want to see their work outlast them.
This session is for senior pastors, nonprofit executives, entrepreneurs, and business leaders who:
- Lead organizations they deeply love — perhaps even founded
- May have many pages to go before their next chapter
- Want to create a culture where healthy transition can be discussed openly
- Recognize that normalizing eventual departure — even years in the future — is an act of leadership
Maybe you’re retiring next year. Maybe you’re beginning to sense burnout. Or maybe you’re simply wise enough to know succession planning should start long before it’s needed. Wherever you are in the journey, this roundtable will help you prepare both yourself and your organization to thrive long after you step away.
Strong leadership isn’t just about building something great — it’s about building something that lasts.
About the Speaker
A Wilson County resident since 2018, Evan McBroom spent most of his life in Indianapolis, IN. A graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, he built a career in corporate communications and marketing before launching Fishhook, a Christ-centered agency that helped hundreds of churches across dozens of denominations strengthen their communications and outreach.
After stepping away from Fishhook, Evan served as Creative Pastor at Connect Church (Mt. Juliet) and later as VP of Marketing for Aspen Group, a church facilities design/build firm. In 2022, he and his wife, Debbie, co-founded Teamness, a 501(c)(3) ministry offering all-expenses-paid getaways to pastor couples for rest and renewal. Teamness now hosts pastor couples at five locations — in Middle Tennessee, the Ozark Mountains of Missouri, and Southwest Montana — with a 100 Net Promoter Score and 95% of guests reporting they leave feeling strengthened and encouraged.
Evan and Debbie live on a hobby farm in Wilson County with goats, chickens, and a donkey. They have three grown children in Middle Tennessee and Alaska. His greatest joy is encouraging others.
