Non-Profit Roundtable: The How To’s of Grant Writing

Jann Seymour is the Senior Director of Volunteer Engagement at Hands On, powered by United Way of Greater Nashville. In this role, she leads efforts to connect volunteers with meaningful service opportunities that effectively address community needs.

Jann’s dedication to service started with church youth activities, then grew with her participation in AmeriCorps and the Animal Rescue Fund while attending Ball State University. Inspired by these experiences, she earned a Master of Public Administration with a focus on nonprofit management from the University of South Carolina.

Since moving to Nashville in 2007, Jann has been active in the city’s vibrant nonprofit sector. She coordinated community events for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and served as the Executive Director of NeedLink Nashville before joining the Hands On team in 2018. Her favorite volunteer activities currently include serving as Assistant Den Leader for the Donelson Cub Scout Pack and supporting community events for Dreams and Wishes of Tennessee.
