Non-Profit Roundtable: Affordable Homes and Community Hubs on Faith Based Properties

Most people living in or moving to Middle Tennessee love how warm and welcoming it is. A recent study even named “a sense of belonging” as Nashville’s core value. But Middle Tennessee cities are struggling to live into that core value: families are being displaced and priced out, homelessness and loneliness are on the rise, and economic segregation is increasing as well. Faith Based properties present a great opportunity: there are lots of them, many are empty or underutilized, and most can be adapted to accommodate a wide range of other functions that both support faith communities and also our neighbors on the margins.
