Some people are defined by what happened to them. Lisa Reddick chose to be defined by what she did next. After enduring the unimaginable—the loss of a child, surviving sexual abuse, homelessness, severe depression, divorce, and the lifelong battle of reclaiming her health after being clinically overweight—Lisa made a decision that would forever shape her life: she refused to let pain have the final word.
Instead, she transformed adversity into purpose.
After losing more than 100 pounds, Lisa was crowned Mrs. Tennessee in 1999, a milestone that launched a national speaking career. Traveling across the country, she encouraged thousands of women to embrace healthier lives, discover their worth, and believe that no circumstance is greater than the human spirit.
Today, Lisa is a visionary, entrepreneur, minister, teacher, and encourager whose greatest passion is helping others recognize the extraordinary potential within themselves. Whether she’s mentoring, speaking from the stage, teaching yoga, selling homes as a licensed Realtor®, or gathering people around a table, Lisa leads with authenticity, compassion, and contagious hope.
Her appearance on MasterChef Season 15 became another chapter in a life marked by courage. Stepping into one of the world’s most demanding culinary competitions required creativity, resilience, and unwavering determination. Under extraordinary pressure and in front of internationally renowned chefs, she once again proved that growth always begins just beyond the edge of comfort.
Above every accomplishment, Lisa treasures her family. She is a devoted wife, proud mother to four sons and four beloved daughters-in-love, grandmother to eight incredible grandchildren, and devoted dog mom to her Italian Greyhound, Prada. Lisa is proud to call Lebanon her hometown where her life is deeply rooted in faith, family, perseverance, and serving others.
What makes Lisa’s story remarkable isn’t simply what she survived—it’s what she built from the ashes. Her life is a testimony that brokenness does not have to be the end of
your story. It can become the beginning of your greatest purpose. Wherever Lisa goes, audiences leave with more than inspiration—they leave believing that their own impossible story may be the very thing that changes someone else’s life.
