The Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce will once again partner with the City of Lebanon, TN – Government and First Baptist Church Lebanon, TN to present Halloween on the Square on Sunday October 31st from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on the Lebanon Downtown Historic Square. As always, there will be plenty of candy for everyone, as well as free hotdogs, grilling courtesy of Public Safety!
 
TIMELINE:
2:00-3:15 Contest sign up
3:15-3:30 Contestants line up by age group in Cabin quadrant
3:30 Contest begins
Each age group will walk around the Square 3-4 times by age group only
Entries may be pulled aside to be entered as finalists
3:50-4:00 Ghoul parade
All age groups walk around Square together in a Ghoul Parade while judges finalize winners. Costume judging
will be during the ghoul parade.
4:00-4:15 Winners announced
 
RULES:
Anyone, any age, is allowed to enter the contest.
Contestants will be split into 4 categories: Ages Birth-5, 6-12, 13+ and groups.
Entries need to remain present throughout the contest to be eligible to receive an award.
By registering, entrants agree to allow event sponsors to use their image for promotion purposes, both photographs and video.
 
PRIZES:
Each category will have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner.
Cash prizes will be awarded in each group. The overall best costume will be named “Ghoul of the Night” and receive $100.00 sponsored by Amy Hamilton- Hamilton Homes Group
Stage, music, and Costume Contest presented by HAWK Specialty Services.

Brooke Turner Mike Baker Scholarship Receipent

2021 Mike Baker Scholarship Winner

Congratulations to Brooke Turner, graduate of Watertown High School for receiving the 2021 Mike Baker Scholarship. She was presented the honor at the Wilson County Fair – TN State Fair by Curt Baker, Education Division Vice-Chair and Melanie Minter, President & CEO.
This scholarship is presented in his memory, sponsored by the Lebanon Wilson Chamber of Commerce, Wilson Bank & Trust and Wilson County Promotions.

Mike Baker was a native of Lebanon. He graduated from Castle Heights Military Academy. He began working for Wilson Bank & Trust in 1991 and would become Vice President and Manager of the main office. He was very active in the community serving as President of the Rotary Club and President for the Lebanon Wilson County Chamber. He was a Leadership Wilson Graduate, served on the Fair board and co-chaired the great giveaway. Mike loved people and there are numerous stories of him helping others in the community. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and always put God and his family first. He passed away in the Fall 2001, survived by his wife Tammy and three children, Austin, Brent & Zack.

COVID-19 Drive-Thru Testing

The Tennessee Department of Health will offer drive-thru COVID-19 testing in various locations throughout Tennessee this weekend. If you have health concerns, or have concerns about the health of a family member, you are invited to receive testing for COVID-19. The Wilson County Health Department will have FREE drive-thru testing tomorrow, April 18th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

The Wilson County Health Department is located at 927 East Baddour Parkway, Lebanon, TN 37087.

Drive-thru testing will be held at other locations on April 19th. Federal Assistance Comes to Davidson, Putnam, & Wilson Counties

This is an important message for those affected by the deadly tornadoes and severe weather on March 3, 2020.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee announced on March 5, 2020 that Davidson, Putnam, and Wilson counties will receive federal aid through an expedited Major Disaster Declaration.

Individuals who may be eligible can begin the application process at www.disasterassistance.gov.

The Chamber’s Annual Membership Meeting & Awards Celebration is one of the largest gatherings of executives, elected officials, business owners, and civic leaders.
