Congratulations to Sara Perry, Chamber Marketing & Communications, on graduating from TCCE (Tennessee Chamber of Commerce Executives) Institute, a two-year professional development program through the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry!
Sara was one of just 14 people in this year’s graduating class, making this achievement even more special. TCCE was created to enhance the professional growth and development of Chamber executives, staff, and volunteers across the State of Tennessee. The Boys & Girls Club of Wilson County is more important than ever as our community grows, and our youth need supportive spaces to learn, play, and thrive. Lebanon’s Ward 2 is home to more than 5,200 residents, with a young median age of about 34 years, showing that many families and children live right here where the Club will serve.
Across Lebanon and Wilson County, nearly one in four residents is under 18, illustrating the need for programs that provide safe after-school environments, youth development opportunities, and mentorship.
The Boys & Girls Club will help fill gaps by offering structured activities, caring adults, and a place where all kids can reach their full potential. By investing in our youth today, we help ensure a stronger, healthier Wilson County tomorrow.

Wilson County contractors are continuing the cleanup process along county-maintained roads following damage from Winter Storm Fern. Custom Tree Care, the county’s contracted debris removal provider, is actively working across the county. The company is working to clear vegetative storm debris and remove damaged trees and limbs from the right-of-way.
Cleanup teams are currently performing the following work throughout unincorporated areas of Wilson County:
Residents may see crews cutting and leaving debris temporarily in the right-of-way. This is part of the planned process; a dedicated pickup crew will return to collect all material. If crews have not yet reached a particular neighborhood, residents should expect to see them in the near future as operations continue.
Because of the extensive damage from Winter Storm Fern, cleanup is progressing as quickly and safely as possible. Crews will reach every area, and multiple passes will be made to ensure all eligible debris is collected.
All residents in unincorporated Wilson County must place storm-related debris in the right of way no later than March 29, 2026. This is the final date for debris to be set out for pickup.
All residents are asked to please use caution when driving near work zones and to provide crews with adequate space to operate safely.
Debris cleanup for residents living within the city limits of Lebanon or Mt. Juliet, or along state-maintained roads, is being handled by the respective municipality. Residents in these areas should follow their city’s specific guidance for storm debris disposal.
Wilson County officials extend their gratitude for the community’s patience and cooperation. Crews are working diligently to cover a large geographic area and ensure a safe and thorough recovery process.

Let’s be honest, colon health isn’t exactly dinner table conversation. There’s a stigma around it, and most people would rather avoid the topic altogether. That’s exactly why we try to make our ads a little fun. If a playful graphic gets you to pause, smile, and think about scheduling that screening or requesting a test kit, then it’s worth it.
March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month
the perfect time to check out more than just your car. Stay on top of your health, know your screening timeline, and don’t ignore the little things.
A little awareness now can make a big difference later. Sherry’s Hope offers FREE colon cancer screening kits available by clicking the link below or you can also email info@sherryshope.org or call/text 615-925-2592 with your name, contact number, mailing address and the number of kits you would like to order. Wilson County, TN — Give A Little Christmas has announced the launch of its new monthly giving initiative, Seven for Santa, with a goal of reaching 777 monthly donors contributing $7 per month by July 7, 2027.
The campaign centers on the symbolic power of the number seven, aligning with several meaningful milestones for the organization and its founder. The target date closely coincides with the anniversary of a personal loss that helped inspire the mission of Give A Little Christmas, while also marking the nonprofit’s upcoming 14th anniversary this December. The July 7, 2027 goal date also happens to fall on the founder’s grandson’s birthday, adding another special layer to the initiative.
Supporters who join the Seven for Santa monthly giving club will receive VIP status at Give A Little Christmas eventsand a commemorative Seven for Santa ornament as a token of appreciation.
Founded nearly 14 years ago, Give A Little Christmas is a nonprofit serving Wilson County, Old Hickory, and Hermitage, dedicated to ensuring children experience the joy of Christmas morning. The organization provides gifts to children whose families are experiencing hardship or emergency situations. Assistance is need-based, not income-based, recognizing that at some point, everyone may need a helping hand.
“If a child believes in Santa, Santa should come,” the organization’s representative states. “We want to make that happen.”
