Lebanon’s 2024 Christmas Parade: Toys Through the Ages

This past Sunday, December 1, the City of Lebanon, TN – Government and the Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce came together to host Lebanon’s 2024 Christmas Parade: Toys Through the Ages — and what a celebration it was!

In honor of the Chamber’s 100th Anniversary, we proudly recognized two Charter Members, Cumberland University and the Lebanon Democrat, as this year’s Grand Marshals. Their century-long dedication to the Chamber and our community is an inspiration. The Grand Marshall Float was sponsored by Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital. From classic toys to modern favorites, the creativity on display throughout the parade was amazing!

Thank you to Bob Zenker & the Chamber’s Special Events Division for working tirelessly to coordinate the parade. We want to thank everyone who helped make this event memorable: volunteers, participants, and, of course, the spectators who filled the streets with holiday spirit!

We also would like to extend a huge thank you to Armstrong Construction for sponsoring the Chamber’s 100-Year Float, which will continue to spread holiday cheer in all Wilson County parades this season.

Business After Hours at The Village Play Place

This past Tuesday evening, we had an incredible Business After Hours hosted by our wonderful members, Corey & Misty Shadd, owners of The Village Play Place.

The Village Play Place is indoor children’s play place — a unique and family-friendly venue perfect for bringing Chamber members together!

This event offered the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow Chamber members, grow networks, and learn about a fantastic local business. What made this event extra special was the invitation for members to bring their families, creating a warm, community-oriented atmosphere where parents and kids could connect with others!

As always, attendees had the chance to win big with our Chamber Pot, but remember — you must be present to win! Unfortunately, neither winner was present this time.

A big congratulations to our lucky door prize winners who received tickets to this year’s Cocktails with Santa, generously donated by our friend Krys at Give A Little Christmas!

These Business After Hours events provide a relaxed, engaging way for our members to network, showcase their businesses and welcome new members. We are so grateful to everyone who attended and to our hosts for creating such a memorable evening!

City of Lebanon Christmas Tree Lighting

What an incredible evening it was at the City of Lebanon’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting! A huge crowd of guests joined us as we kicked off the holiday season at the historic Mitchell House.

Guests enjoyed a variety of activities, including Christmas caroling by our local elementary school students, a chance to take photos with Santa, and browsing a variety of local vendors offering holiday treats and gifts. The energy in the air was electric as the band SweetN3 took the stage.

The highlight of the night of course was City of Lebanon Mayor Rick Bell and Necole Bell, accompanied by members of the City Council, who had the honor of lighting the Christmas tree, officially ushering in the holiday season.

The City’s grounds, including City Hall and the Historic Mitchell House, will remain illuminated throughout the holidays! Thank you to everyone who attended and made this year’s Tree Lighting such a memorable occasion. We look forward to seeing you around town as we continue to celebrate the season together!

First Presbyterian Church of Lebanon Columbarium Dedication & Ribbon Cutting

First Presbyterian Church of Lebanon hosted a Columbarium Dedication ceremony. The Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce conducted a Ribbon Cutting ceremony following the dedication.

Reverend Sherard Edington led the dedication ceremony for the church’s new columbarium — a sacred space for the cremated remains of beloved church members. The columbarium provides a peaceful and respectful place for families to honor their loved ones. The vision for the columbarium began in 2019, when the church recognized the need for such a space to meet the growing needs of our congregation. A dedicated committee was formed to explore the project. Hal Bone, a church member and the owner of Horizon Construction, helped in bringing the vision to life — making the construction process a reality.
